Antonin Sramek (1894 - 1972)

Antonín Sramek was a Czech poet, architect ,and writer. An architect, poet, painter, novelist, Slavophile and above all a lover of the pure Czech language, he came from Moravske Kinice near Tisnov, but spent most of his life in Brno. Brno was the region of his ancestors, many of whom distinguished themselves - the most famous is the knight Gabriel Schramm, who was the mayor of Brno during the Thirty Years' War. Poetism is reflected in his work, it is also reflected in exotic tendencies, and his pseudonym Frank A. Boston testifies to this. A touch of expressionism is reflected in his scenes from life, vitalism in the obvious joy of depicting the human body, for example in "Dubrovnik".
